Partner Update November 2021

Beginning of November progress report.

Grab a beverage, find a comfy chair, this is the longest text I’ve ever sent in my life. We are nearly done with our website, so in the future these updates will be posted to the Blog section of the website, and I will just text out a link to the Blog update. I will back post all these text message updates to the Blog for a nice back history of how we got this operation going.

Our EE and the electric company continue to talk. We requested 415 volts; this is what is required for the shipping container. Of course (sarcasm), 415v cannot be had from the electric company; there are options to connect our own transformer directly to line voltage, so we are exploring the purchase of a transformer. We also do not have a straight answer for how much total power can be provided. So as we continue to work through electric company stuff I have been exploring and establishing options.

I have been talking with the company providing the shipping container full of immersion tanks; they are still on schedule to deliver the first week of December (which is not that far away). We talked about the difficulties 415v is presenting and I let them know that if 415v becomes too costly to obtain (due to us needing to purchase our own transformer) that I may need a refund of the deposit. While not thrilled, they did indicate a refund would be possible.

With that in mind I have established a relationship with another company that I found by accident; their equipment runs on 480v. When I called this company their first question was, how did you find us? They are by design not findable (they have a website, but no Google search will make them appear). They have been amazingly helpful and eager to do business with us. I have talked with the CEO, their engineers, and of course salespersons, but 80% of the conversations have been with the engineers (amazing). They are currently filling a massive order for a mining company at a location in TX (I know who it is, but can’t share; later I can, but not now). So this company is ahead in manufacturing “kits” to incrementally fill the massive order in TX and can ship a “kit” to us on a moment's notice (again, amazing). The kit is engineered for the hotter climate in TX, so it will easily fill our needs and allow for quite a bit of expansion going forward. Unlike the shipping container, this kit will require our own labor to put together and require the separate purchase of other components; this is all very doable but will be logistically and labor intensive. Having said that, I do really like this option for its expandability. I also, of course, like the shipping container option due to it being fairly plug-n-play, but the 415v barrier is proving to be a showstopper.

The electric company is certainly being a challenge, but we are making progress with them. The great news here is that we have immersion tank options and that both companies can deliver their equipment very quickly.

As soon as we get an install date from the electric company, we will begin accepting your Capital Contributions and begin ordering miners.

Thank you for your patience. We are working as quickly as possible.
